This page explains what information Mano Vaibhavam collects through this website and the Mano Vaibhavam Android app, how it is used, and your choices. Mano Vaibhavam is a small family-run boutique; we do not run targeted advertising, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

What we collect

  • Inquiry contents. When you tap Add & inquire on the website or app, the items you select (and any note you add) are sent to us so we can prepare a personal reply. This is stored in our secure database until we mark the inquiry as resolved or delete it.
  • Your contact channel. When you choose WhatsApp, email, phone or Instagram from the inquiry page, your message is opened in that app with the items pre-filled. From that point your details (phone number, email, etc.) are visible to us through that channel — the same as any normal customer message.
  • Device notification token (Android app only). When you install the Mano Vaibhavam Android app and tap Allowon the notification prompt, the app sends an anonymous device token issued by Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service to our server. The token lets us send you notifications about new arrivals, coupons and festive offers. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
  • No analytics, no advertising cookies. The site does not run third-party advertising trackers and does not store cookies for marketing purposes.

How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry and help you choose a piece.
  • To send notifications you opted into (new arrivals, offers).
  • To operate and improve the website and app — for example, fixing bugs and adding features.

Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of trusted services to run the site and app. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function.

  • Vercel — hosts the website and serves the app assets.
  • Google Firebase — Firestore (database for product catalogue, inquiries and device tokens), Authentication (admin sign-in only), and Cloud Messaging (push notifications).
  • Supabase — stores product images. No personal information is sent to Supabase.

Notifications & your choices

  • You can turn notifications off at any time from your phone's Settings → Apps → Mano Vaibhavam → Notifications.
  • Uninstalling the app invalidates the device token; we remove dead tokens from our database automatically when the next notification attempt fails.
  • You can ask us to delete any inquiry you sent — email us and we will remove it, usually within a couple of business days.

Data retention

  • Inquiries.Kept while we're actively talking with you and for a short period afterward for our records.
  • Device tokens. Kept until the token becomes invalid (e.g., you uninstall) or you ask us to remove it.

Children

The site and app are intended for adults shopping for themselves or their family. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by notification.
